What Is Commercially Pure Titanium (CP Titanium)?

Commercially pure titanium (CP titanium) is titanium without intentional alloying additions. It still contains small amounts of elements such as oxygen, iron, carbon, and nitrogen, and these elements influence properties including strength, ductility, and formability.

What Is a Titanium Alloy?

Titanium alloys are titanium materials with intentionally added elements that modify their mechanical or corrosion-related properties. The purpose of alloying depends on the application.
