Guangxi Hongwang’s soft magnetic materials and galvanized sheet production line officially commenced operation on September 29.

Established in January 2024 as a joint venture between Hongwang Holding Group and Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical, Guangxi Hongwang is located in the Port Area of Fangchenggang. Covering approximately 82 acres with a total investment exceeding RMB 3 billion, the project is set to achieve an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of high-performance electrical steel and high-end galvanized sheets upon full operation, with an estimated annual output value of around RMB 10 billion. The official launch of the project marks a new chapter for Hongwang Group in green and intelligent manufacturing, injecting strong momentum into industrial upgrading in South China and along the Belt and Road initiative.

From initiation to operation, the Guangxi Hongwang project was completed in just 13 months, serving as the first operational project in the Fangchenggang Industrial Cooperation Park. This milestone reinforces Fangchenggang’s confidence and determination in serving national strategies, seizing development opportunities, and advancing major projects. Leveraging its manufacturing strengths, Fangchenggang will drive high-quality development through artificial intelligence, cultivate a first-class business environment, and work hand in hand with enterprises to achieve shared success. The city also looks forward to nurturing more “Hongwang-style” outstanding enterprises in the future.

Built as a “model factory,” Guangxi Hongwang implements a fully intelligent process control system. The project innovatively adopts the first self-designed six-stand continuous pickling and rolling unit, enabling efficient coordination between 18-roll and 6-roll mills and the production of ultra-thin high-end electrical steel as fine as 0.2mm. This capability meets the stringent material performance demands of sectors such as new energy vehicles and smart appliances.

Following the ceremony, guests visited Guangxi Hongwang’s intelligent control center, production workshops, as well as Shenglong’s exhibition hall and 2250 hot-rolling production facility.

The successful launch of Guangxi Hongwang marks a significant milestone in Hongwang Group’s strategic expansion and a new starting point for the future. Leveraging Fangchenggang’s unique geographical advantages and open platform, the project will serve both domestic and international markets, contributing “Hongwang’s strength” to industrial intelligent upgrading and supporting the nation’s new development paradigm.
